ThinkLessStress is an app for strengthening your ability to choose how you respond to stress. The app teaches you the evidence-based techniques in neuroscience and supports you in incorporating your learning into mental fitness habits.
There are 12 topics in total in the app with educational content and activities to complete. The first topic is a FREE Welcome topic and the other 11x 4-week topics are paid plans. All topics are self-paced. There is an option to book online coaching sessions alongside the app at an additional cost.
Once you sign up for a plan, you will have lifetime access to the topic/s you select. For corporate groups, there will be an option to book a weekly facilitation session to discuss team progress, answer questions, and share ideas on how to put learning into practice.
In 2018, I realised I needed to make significant changes in my life following a decline in my overall mental and physical wellbeing. For a few years prior, I experienced memory loss, brain fog, and a lack of focus. I put it down to being a busy working mum and wife, as well as getting older now I was in my 40's! I didn't know at the time that I had an autoimmune thyroid disease Hashimoto's, which was diagnosed that year.
As a coach noticing the shift in my behaviour due to Hashimoto's, I knew I could gradually get my life back on track by making some changes in my habits.
I was already coaching on habit change, and I had an understanding of neuroplasticity. This is the process of building new neural pathways in the brain to drive habit change.
In 2019 I studied the neuroscience of change and developed my understanding in the evidence-based techniques in neuroscience which improve overall brain function. These techniques increase your mental fitness if you incorporate them into habits which is what I did. This has enabled me to have a full recovery and I no longer struggle with the symptoms of Hashimoto's.
The toolkit of evidence-based techniques in neuroscience which I built, are in the app across the 11x 4-week topics. The most common coaching topics I have helped clients with in increasing their mental fitness over the past year, are in the app.
